About us

In February 2023, seven courageous women embarked on a journey to Mount Maunganui, NZ to participate in the Generation Homes Women's Triathlon. They were brave, venturing far beyond their comfort zones, many having never competed in a triathlon before. they made a pact to not only race but to support, encourage, and help each other conquer their fears. Following the event, they adopted the moniker 'The Twisted Sisters'—a nod to the madness (Twisted) of signing up for a triathlon and the familial bonds (Sisters) they formed. Now, 18 months later, the Twisted Sisters community continues to flourish. From the initial seven, the Facebook group has expanded to over 100 members, some hailing from as far as Australia, the UK, and even Tonga. They compete in a wide variety of sports. As a result, the Twisted sisters club was formed in august 2024.

We foster encouragement and motivation by sharing common aspirations. Together, we aid in each other's growth, striving to realize our dreams and ambitions. We all progress at our individual pace, celebrating every victory, regardless of its size. Each person is valued, whether they finish first, last, or somewhere in the middle.
